One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, or should we say two men’s treasure. Well now New Jersey residents can get rid of their junk and even get on TV for doing it.

Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are the stars of  History channel’s hit TV show “American Pickers”, and they are hitting the road this summer in search of unique collectibles. They will be making stops across the country to find extraordinary pieces to add to their collection, including in New Jersey.

“Mike and Frank have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and they are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before,” wrote Lindsey Chase, the Casting Associate for American Pickers on History.

The guys are looking for private collectors in the area that have something worth wild. A few antique items the “pickers” are looking for include:

  • Old Toys: Tin, Windup, Cast Iron
  • Pinball Machines
  • Pottery
  • Telephones
  • Military Items
  • Photographs

The list goes on and on, but if you think you have an impressive collection and want to try to sell some stuff contact the crew at AmericanPickers@cineflix.com or leave a message at 855-OLD-RUST (653-7878).

My name is Alyssa! I am the Public Affairs Director at Rowan Radio and the host of "A Community Affair", the "Country Road", and the co-host of the "Early Bird Special". In the Fall of 2015, I co-produced a 30 minute radio documentary about gun violence in America. The project is an award winning piece. I inspire to be a radio or television producer in the near future.
